Nature of This Resource

This is a private reference site with no authority over a government office. It does not keep official Currituck County records. It cannot confirm that a person is in custody, order or carry out a release, change a sentence, submit a records request for a visitor, or file a court document.

The site directs visitors to inmate, release, court, jail, and corrections resources for Currituck County and North Carolina. It may also connect visitors with third-party research tools. Those directions and connections do not make the site an agent of the public office or outside provider.

Rules for Acceptable Use

• Use the site only for lawful purposes.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
• Do not base employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site content.
• Do not seek access to systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
• Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site.

No Consumer Reporting Services

Currituck County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide a background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. By using the site, you agree not to use its information for any FCRA-covered decision, including:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment action
• Tenant selection, housing approval, or lease decisions
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
• Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Resources Operated by Others

Links may lead to release records, sheriff or corrections pages, public portals, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. Currituck County Released Inmates does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, data practices, terms, availability, or performance. A link does not endorse the destination or its operator. Review the destination's own terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all information available through it are provided “as is” and “as available.” No express or implied warranty is made concerning:

• The accuracy, completeness, or current status of information
• Continuous or uninterrupted availability
• The absence of mistakes, bugs, or security weaknesses

Custody status and government records can change at any time. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Currituck County Sheriff's Office, Currituck County Detention Center, North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, or another public agency.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Currituck County Released Inmates and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access to, inability to access, reliance on, or use of the site or any linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

Ownership of Site Materials

Site text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Currituck County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. Unless written permission is granted, you may not copy, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from protected site materials.

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here. Continuing to use the site after posting means you accept the updated terms.

Restriction or Loss of Access

We may suspend, limit, or revoke access to all or part of the site at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

North Carolina Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one part of these Terms & Conditions invalid or unenforceable, that part will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
